Xcel Energy marks American Wind Week

 

The American Wind Energy Association celebrated American Wind Week last week, and Xcel Energy joined in. Xcel is seeking approval to add 1,000 additional megawatts of wind energy that we will build and own in Roosevelt County, N.M., and Hale County. The firm is also seeking approval for a contract to purchase 230 megawatts of wind energy to be generated from facilities owned by NextEra Energy Resources in Crosby and Cochran counties on the South Plains.

BSA bariatric program earns reaccreditation

BSA Hospital was reaccredited as a Comprehensive Bariatric Center under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). The 3-year designation recognizes surgical programs with a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery. BSA offers several bariatric procedures. BSA has been accredited by MBSAQIP since 2014.

BSA Pharmacy receives HealthTrust Award

The BSA Pharmacy was recently honored with the HealthTrust 2017 Gita Wasan Patel Pharmacy Excellence Award. Travis Lawler, BSA Pharmacy Director, Amber Elliot, BSA Pharmacy Clinical Manager and Luke Barnett, BSA Pharmacy Clinical Manager, accepted the award, which recognizes health care facilities that have implemented and demonstrated best practices.
