Letter: Can God help the president?

It seems to me that all the “Gods” may be angry with us after all.

The invoking of God’s name for political and other less-“godly” purposes takes us all on a slippery “religious” slope.

Among the various gods which nations and people worship are Allah, Jehovah, Buddha, etc.

And we use the name of God too often to legitimize our agenda.

These agendas can be — and often are — racist in nature, and are used by many, including politicians.

Glaring examples are the nonsensical laws enacted by our own goofy politicians controlling the state.

On the national scene, President Donald Trump clearly ran a racist-based campaign disguised as “America First.”

His rants and actions appealed to voters whom I feel believe that this land called “America” was created only for certain people — white people.

Indians were slaughtered, and blacks were imported to serve as slaves and forced to do the bidding of their owners — or else. They were often hung without formal accusations, without a trial and with no semblance of justice.

I don’t think God cares about the Second Amendment, and I’m not sure whether God can help a tweeting-mouth president, which is the person currently occupying our White House.
