A few comments related to recent Amarillo Globe-News editorial page items:
Regarding the AGN editorial (Editorial: No need to fear civil war, convicted stalkers, Dec. 9, amarillo.com), have you ever heard the phrase the inmates are running the asylum — or trying to run the asylum? All you have to do is look at or listen to Nancy Pelosi and her ilk, and you will know what I mean.
Regarding the letter to the editor (It is acceptable to offend some people, Dec. 9, amarillo.com), let’s get over the “political correctness” nonsense. We must preserve history and learn from it. For those who insist on erasing history via statue removal and other methods, erasing history will ultimately include all history, and that will include slavery, the Holocaust, world wars, etc.
Regarding the letter to the editor (City fails to respond promptly to dead animal, Dec. 9, amarillo.com), if the letter writer was so offended or upset about the dead cat on Amarillo Boulevard, why did she not remove it? Our city does have a lot of more important things to do. Better yet, why don’t cat owners keep their cats inside or corralled?
