The West Texas A&M volleyball team has yet to win a road match in four tries during Lone Star Conference play but looks to change that against UT Permian Basin at the Falcon Dome at 7 p.m. tonight.
In their first matchup on Sept. 19 at the WTAMU Fieldhouse, WT (10-8, 4-4 LSC) got the sweep, 25-16, 25-10, 28-26. Senior Kamille Jones led the Lady Buffs offense with 13 kills, while sophomore Selena Batiste dished out a game-high 28 assists and freshman Chandler Vogel led the defense with nine digs.
Defensively, the Lady Buffs also limited UTPB’s offense with seven team blocks.
WT also comes in sporting a perfect 9-0 record all-time against the Lady Falcons (4-13, 1-7).
“It’s a their place, so we’ve got to get over the demon of playing out of our gym and comfort zone,” Lady Buffs head coach Jason Skoch said. “Permian also plays does things differently so we have to get used to that one anomaly and then get back to a more traditional style for Commerce and Woman’s.”
